A chocolate fashion show as entertainment?!


Looking for a one-of-a-kind entertainment? Bet you probably never considered going to a fashion show, much less, a chocolate fashion show.


In fact, did you ever think that chocolate and fashion would ever mix? Well, think again! This show is an annual event which have been known to happen in Paris (where it originated), New York, Tokyo, Beijing, and Moscow. The 10th annual chocolate show happened in New York in 2007.






The chocolate shows are designed for the public. These annual event allows visitors to discover all there is to know about, taste, and explore in the world of chocolate. Talk about an entertainment!

The Salon du Chocolat or Chocolate Show, a highly acclaimed festival of chocolate, has been held 5 times in Paris, itself home of a fine food culture, and also in New York. This show feature splendid arrays of goods produced by chocolatiers from Europe and by chocolatiers of the country which is hosting this show. This is a one kind of entertainment that you do not want to miss out on! Events like these will include special features such as demonstrations by the world's top patissiers and a special "chocolate fashion show" by leading designers. Meanwhile, visitors get to experience a one-of-a-kind entertainment and will be able to actually sample the chocolate on display. It's well worth a visit!

In Paris, where it was founded by Sylvie Douce and Francois Jeantet, the show is called Salon du Chocolat.

Sylvie Douce said the following:

"Our goal is to celebrate chocolate, to foster a richer appreciation and understanding for this wonderful, magical substance. The Chocolate Show aims to introduce people with the many ways one can experience chocolate using all the senses!"

Yes it does and it's well worth the price! Here is the latest prices for tickets: (Tickets are valid for one day only.)
Adults: $28
Children under 5: Free
Children, 5 to 12: Free*
*Limit: 2 children per adult. Each additional child (5-12): $8
